I’m pleased to announce that my adventures in educational technology continue. I’ll be moving on from my current position as a Technology Coordinator and technology teacher in Orange County to a position as Curriculum Technology Coordinator at The Center for Early Education in West Hollywood, CA. “The Center” is an independent school serving a diverse group of students from K to 6th Grade and also offers an early childhood preschool program. I’m very much looking forward to working at such an extraordinary school. My new position will have me focusing on supporting teachers in integrating technology into their curriculum.
After only a few days, The Centers dedication to technology integration is apparent. There a great tech staff on board and many teachers routinely strengthen their lessons with digital media projects, wikis, and supplemental online tools. This year we will be focusing on implementing a 1 to 1 program in 4th Grade and introducing iPads to grades K through 3, among a host of other great projects.
My home base will be the “Innovation Center.” The IC serves as a tech lab for video production, professional development, and student innovation. I’m enthusiastic about continuing the “CEE News” in which students demonstrate their learning with the school community.
More to come…
